"I simply couldn’t believe some of the stories I’d heard about chiropractic and its affect on people. I had to find out for myself. I wasn’t someone dealing with symptoms at all. I was an athletic young man looking for a path in life, and the theory and philosophy of chiropractic sparked a large amount of interest in me. I had always enjoyed people and thought of myself as a very caring and compassionate person, so I was beginning to feel as though I’d found my career path. My first experience with chiropractic was nothing short of incredible. Above I stated that I had no symptoms, but after some adjustments I began to feel better than ever and quickly realized that I simply wasn’t “feeling” what my body had been going through. Allergies had always been an issue for me. I had been taking antihistamine medications daily for years. I had no idea that chiropractic could help, but it did! After a few months of care I realized that I hadn’t been taking any medication for weeks. To this day, I have not taken another allergy medication.

I chose to become a chiropractor. The school I chose to attend was famous for imparting a strong philosophical basis for practice which resonated greatly with me. This school was Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, S.C. Once there, I was fully engaged in the curriculum, workshops, clubs, and general student life. Along the way, I developed powerful relationships with various mentors. One in particular was named Dr. Valerie Pennachio. Dr. Val guided my understanding of chiropractic philosophy and technique as it related to current society, and taught me how to excel at sharing the chiropractic message with anyone I met. This was not the only mentor I had, but it certainly was one that I still cherish to this day.

The philosophy that I impart in my practice is simple, ”The power that made the body, heals the body.” This is a simple, yet profound philosophy of life and vitality. Our bodies posses an amazing intelligence known in chiropractic as “innate intelligence”. This intelligence does everything for us. It makes cells, pumps blood, digests food, makes hormones, removes waste, etc. It is nothing short of amazing, and yet it is quite a mystery at the same time! Your nerve system is the main pathway for this intelligence to get around. The skull and spine protect the central nerve system as it moves out to the body and to your muscles, organs, glands, and tissues. Spinal wellness is paramount to the optimum communication of this intelligence to and from the body. Chiropractic adjustments help to remove interference from this communication pathway and restore full function and integrity to both the structures and the nerve system. This ideal allows us to care for anyone who is alive and has a spine! We see everyone from newborn babies to elderly people and everyone in between. The care that we provide serves athletes looking to keep their spines as healthy as they can be to maximize their performance. We also care for people dealing with spinal pain, digestive issues, headaches, postural issues, and a wealth of other musculo-skeletal problems. Children find it exciting to get adjusted because I know how to make it fun for them. I am a father of 3 rambunctious boys, and am very well versed in taking care of them, so I can relate to the issues that present in kids these days. Care for kids is different from that of adults, but whatever the case, I can put anyone at ease and show them that they are capable of being better. Truly, my chiropractic practice has be nothing less than humbling and inspiring to me. The rewards have been insurmountable. My nurturing approach combined with the fantastic results makes me feel like I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing!

Well, as stated above I’m a father of 3 wonderful boys. My lovely wife Kory and I are happily married as well. I’m in love with Central Oregon and enjoy many aspects of it. I love to snowboard, mountain bike, hike, cook, swim, and play music. There are so many things to discover here that I feel I have new and exciting adventures to last a lifetime. I participate in community business groups, philanthropic organizations, and lots of school related functions. There seems to never be a dull moment in my life!

As a chiropractor I have become well versed in the ideals of general wellness and the things in life that we all can do to become healthier people. For myself, I feel walking the walk is the best way to emulate the advice I’m giving my clients. I’ve always been active, so exercise comes naturally and frequently. Often it’s nutrition that I find myself regularly focusing on. I offer a group cleanse through my practice once per year in the spring that I do as well. In the warmer months especially I feel inspired to eat a mostly raw food type diet. Lots of healthy smoothies, salads, fruits and veggies and the occasional lean protein make up the majority of my diet in these warm times. The winter usually requires a heavier diet due to all that wonderful cold weather we get around here. I take a stance of being a deliverer of good and useful information that I too use. My clients know that I never come from a place of judgment when I speak to them about these things. These topics can be wide ranging from nutrition and exercise to vaccinations and over-the-counter medications. I come from the heart and my clients know and appreciate that.

I love my chiropractic practice and hope to have the opportunity to meet and help you shine like you were designed to shine. Give us a call and see what all the fuss is about! Lastly, I’d like you to know the motto by which my practice is truly based:

“My focus is what’s right in you, not what’s wrong with you.”
